A 1978 1948 Bowman reprint baseball card of Ferris Fain. The back of card number 21 in the set reads, "21 - Ferris Fain First base - Philadelphia Athletics Born : San Antonio, Tex. 1922 Bats : Left Throws : Left Height : 5 : 11 Weight : 183 His record in the Pacific Coast League indicates great things for him in the major leagues. In his first season with the Athletics, he played in 1936 games to bat .291 and bat in 71 runs. That's the kind of performance that had made him an outstanding player on the San Francisco team.
