The back of card number 31 in the set reads, "31 - Bill McCahan Pitcher - Philadelphia Athletics Born : Phil., Pa. 1922 Bats : Right Throws : Right Height : 5 : 11 Weight : 186 Pitched a no-hit, no-run game against Washington Senators. Last year was his first full year on the A's. He had only been in the minors for two years. He pitched for Wilmington in 1942, spent three years in the service and came out to pitch for Toronto in 1946 to win 11 and lose 7. He's a pitcher to keep your eye on.
