A 1978 1948 Bowman reprint baseball card of Johnny Lindell. The back of card number 11 in the set reads, "11 - Johnny Lindell Outfielder - N. Y. Yankees Born : Greeley, Colo. 1916 Bats : Right Throws : Right Height : 6 : 4 Weight : 208 Joined the Yanks in 1942 as a pitcher but he developed such unusual hitting power that he was converted into an outfielder. In 1943, he led his league in triples (12). In 1944, he again led his league in triples (16). in 1945, the Army called but he was back on the team in 1946, playing first base and in the outfield.
