Jason Scheller
/in /by Bill NowlinJason Scheller is a professor of history at Vernon College in Wichita Falls, Texas. He is a graduate of Texas Tech University. His graduate work has been featured in the books The Empire Strikes Out: How Baseball Sold U.S. Foreign Policy and Promoted the American Way Abroad, by Robert Elias, and The Boys Who Were Left Behind: The 1944 World Series Between the Hapless St. Louis Browns and the Legendary St. Louis Cardinals, by John Heidenry and Brett Topel. He joined the Dallas-Fort Worth Banks-Bragan chapter of SABR in 2018. His interests are in World War II baseball, the Negro Leagues, the minor leagues, the Texas Rangers, the Los Angeles Dodgers, the Chicago White Sox, and the Boston Red Sox. He enjoys attending minor-league baseball games throughout the country with his wife and daughter each summer. A Red Sox fan since 1986, he follows them every season and relishes the opportunity to attend games at Fenway Park whenever he gets a chance.
