Baseball Games at the Rochester House of Refuge Cabinet Card
Description
A color slide of a cabinet card of two baseball games at the Rochester House of Refuge circa 1871. The foreground shows a baseball game on the left side played by younger boys and a baseball game on the right played by older boys. There is a large crowd watching both games. A wall runs down the middle of the large courtyard to separate the younger and older boys. The main building of the House of Refuge looms largely in the background. Something indistinguishable is written on the bottom of the card. Information on the slide reads, "Rochester House of Refuge c. 1875"
