SABR welcomes new Jewish Baseball research committee
SABR’s Board of Directors has approved the formation of a new research committee: the Jewish Baseball Research Committee.
The Jewish Baseball Committee seeks to deepen knowledge and educate the public about Jewish contributions to the game of baseball. Jews have played significant roles in every aspect of the game, including owners, broadcasters, umpires, team management, labor relations leaders, newspaper writers, and more, as well as approximately 200 players. The committee will also explore the importance of baseball in the greater scope of Jewish identity.
