SABR Professional Researchers Group
Established in 2026, the SABR Professional Researchers Group is a new chartered community for those working on baseball research in their professional capacity. This group aims to foster interdisciplinary collaboration, encourage resource sharing, and promote innovative baseball-centered research and teaching.
This group is open to SABR members and non-members working on some aspect of baseball research in their professional capacity, whether in academia, libraries, public history, or through teaching.
Contact Dr. Paul J. Zwirecki, SABR’s External Relations Officer, with any additional questions.
The group plans to hold 4-6 virtual meetings throughout the year. These informal sessions will center on rotating topics, including but not limited to works-in-progress, topical discussions, and recent journal article discussions. Events are open to non-SABR members, and current group members are encouraged to invite colleagues or students to discuss their recent work.
