Cardboard Fetish will on exhibit at the Pasadena Central Library, 285 E. Walnut Street, Pasadena, California, from July 6-July 31, 2009. Admission is free.

Mixing nostalgia, affection, irreverence, and social commentary, Cardboard Fetish explores the history of baseball cards from their origins in the 19th century as advertising mechanisms for tobacco products through their more recent status as a locus of intense baby-boomer nostalgia and object of currency, with some cards fetching astronomical prices.
