Frostburg State University Hosting Baseball Conference
A four day baseball conference entitled, Baseball Forever: A Mirror of American Life, will be held in November at Frostburg State University in western Maryland. Its theme will be tracing the history of baseball as a mirror of America from its beginnings to the present. A four day baseball conference entitled, Baseball Forever: A Mirror of American Life, will be held in November at Frostburg State University in western Maryland. Its theme will be tracing the history of baseball as a mirror of America from its beginnings to the present. Featuring keynote speaker, Frank Deford, the conference will feature major baseball historians such as Ben Rader and Jules Tygiel, along with prominent sportswriters (John Eisenberg and Tim Wendel), cultural historians such as Tom Cripps, other notable authors, and some former major league players. In addition to the panel of events during the day, a new dramatic play on baseball will premier during the conference. Admission will be free for the day sessions.
