2006 CASEY Award Finalists Announced

The Art of the Japanese Baseball Card (Chronicle Books) by John Gall & Gary Engel – Spalding’s World Tour: The Epic Adventure that Took Baseball Around the Globe-and Made It America’s Game (Public Affairs) by Mark Lamster – A Well-Paid Slave: Curt Flood’s Fight for Free Agency in Professional Sports (Viking) by Brad Snyder The date and site of the 24th Annual CASEY Banquet will be released in a future announcement. Judges for the 2006 CASEY will be Butch Callery, the Honorable Mayor of Covington, Kentucky; Anne Jewell, Director of the Louisville Slugger Museum; and baseball historian John Skurkay.
