Welcome to the relaunching of the Society for American Baseball Research website at SABR.org.
We have a lot of new features we think you’ll enjoy — including every article from the most recent editions of the Baseball Research Journal and The National Pastime, more original content than ever before and SABRNation, your interactive home for organization news, chapter and committee updates, and baseball discussion.
SABRNation is also the place for members to make a statement: Voice your opinions in daily discussions and respond to polls to let the baseball world know what SABR members really think.
We’ll also have a new trivia question every morning, headlines from Around the Web, a listing of SABR awards, and information on finding your local chapter.
Many of your favorite features are still in place: convention news, a complete member directory, and research resources such as the SABR Encyclopedia and The Emerald Guide to Baseball.
This organization has always been member-driven, and that holds true for your new website, too — our new website. I’m an active member, too.
Members of SABR are doing more research now than ever before. SABR.org is a place to promote all that great work, as well as to help you do better research and to make it all easier to discover and discuss.
See something you like? Think of something we missed? Let me know. Working on an interesting research project? Send it along.
If you have any questions, you can e-mail me at jpomrenke@sabr.org.
Hope you enjoy our new website!
