Bob Elliott: Remembering Les Expos

The Montreal Expos may be gone, but if the past few weeks are any indication, they’re definitely not forgotten.
The outpouring of emotion after Gary Carter’s death and the multitude of stories about Rusty Staub’s election to the Canadian Baseball Hall of Fame are evidence of this.
Both of these stories were covered extensively here on the Canadian Baseball Network, which was founded by former Expos beat writer [and SABR member] Bob Elliott.
I thought it would be a good time to ask our founder, who covered the Expos from 1979 to1986 and will become the first Canadian to be honoured with the National Baseball Hall of Fame’s J.G. Taylor Spink Award in Cooperstown this July, about his 10 best Expos memories.
