D’Addona: World needs Opening Day hope again

Monday was supposed to be Opening Day in Detroit for the Tigers.
Opening Day is one of the most emotionally fulfilling days of the year. It brings the hope of spring, a new beginning for every team, reflecting the season and the hope in each of our lives.
But it is also something we have taken for granted.
No more.
The coronavirus has shaken all of us, taken thousands of lives and changed the course of our history.
