Chartered Communities
SABR’s Chartered Communities are online virtual chapters centered around a common theme.
All SABR members are eligible to sign up for announcements from any chartered community. Click here to select from the list of communities, then click “Join Group” () at the top of the community page.
Learn more about our Chartered Communities below.
Baseball Memories
SABR members have created a field of dreams by sharing their passion and baseball memories with those dealing with Alzheimer’s and dementia, with chronic medical issues or who are socially isolated and lonely. We invite you to join this effort and become a volunteer in your community.
Baseball Necrology
The Baseball Necrology group is an interactive discussion group for the exchange of information pertaining to the recent passing of figures from the baseball world — including players, managers, coaches, umpires, scouts, executives, broadcasters, writers and other notables from the major and minor leagues and collegiate baseball.
Baseball Think Factory
Baseball Think Factory is a sabermetrically oriented website and discussion forum that features daily news stories with original content from baseball writers and fellow SABR members.
Podcasters Clubhouse
The SABR Podcasters Clubhouse is a collaborative platform for sports podcasters to share information and ideas, provide advice and mentorship, and leverage SABR resources to create baseball content.
SABR Trivia
SABR Trivia is one of SABR’s Chartered Communities with daily baseball trivia questions sent out by e-mail to subscribers.

- Make a list of at least 5 active SABR members in your proposed group who agree to be members of that chartered community. You can use the Members Directory and search by city, state or ZIP code. They don’t need to sign any paperwork, just willingly agree to be members of that community if it is approved.
- Then e-mail that list, along with one member designated as an official group liaison, to Leslie Heaphy, SABR Vice President.
- SABR’s Board of Directors will consider the proposal at its next meeting and contact the liaison if the community is approved.
- For more information, visit our Admin Tools page at admin.sabr.org for group leaders, which offers suggestions and guidelines for meetings, speakers, and getting publicity for SABR and Chartered Community events.
