SABR Diversity Statement

SABR values and champions diversity as an organization, and as a specialized research society. Baseball, the recognized “National Pastime,” comprises a rich and illustrious history that includes the many contributions of African Americans, Latinos, Asians, and women in the game. SABR proudly includes research committees devoted to the study of these areas and their contributions to baseball’s historiography.

We invite you to check out an impactful resource from Major League Baseball on Diversity & Inclusion, and Social Justice:

SABR works to promote diverse perspectives within the scope of its baseball research mission, and strives to create an inclusive environment for its members and fellow researchers. SABR has created a Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) Committee to study issues and promote initiatives in this space. Click here to learn more.

For more information on these initiatives, please contact DEI Committee chair Anthony Salazar.

Please be mindful that SABR adheres to an Event Code of Conduct that ensures the safety and well-being of our attendees and guests.
