Bill Mortell
/in /by adminBill Mortell has been a SABR member since 1977. For 35 years he worked for the U.S. Department of Defense, from which he retired in 1987. A Chicago native, he lived in various cities in Japan (Kyoto, Nara, and Tokyo area) for 13 years and once saw both Frank and Brooks Robinson homer in the same Tokyo game against a Japanese all-star team. His current interests include family genealogy, and watching MLB, particularly Cubs and White Sox. He provides occasional research assistance to SABR members who are engaged in writing biographies of major-league players.
