David Kaiser
/in /by Jacob PomrenkeDavid Kaiser first experienced Willie Mays on television during the 1954 World Series, at the age of 7, when he saw Willie’s famous catch in the first game. A historian, he taught for 37 years at Harvard, Carnegie Mellon, the Naval War College, and Williams College. He is the author of two baseball books, Epic Season, The 1948 American League Pennant Race and Baseball Greatness: The Best Players and Teams According to Wins Above Average. He has given numerous presentations at local SABR chapters and at a number of national conventions. He lives with his wife, Patti Cassidy, in Watertown, Massachusetts.
