Ed Gruver

Ed’s baseball books include Koufax, a biography of Dodgers legend Sandy Koufax, and Hairs vs. Squares: The Mustache Gang, the Big Red Machine, and the Tumultuous Summer of ’72. A longtime sportswriter for Lancaster (PA) Newspapers, Ed covered the Baltimore Orioles from 1999-2004 and Philadelphia Phillies from 2005-12. Ed’s most recent books cover the Pittsburgh Steelers-Oakland Raiders rivalry of the 1970s, Ben Hogan and the 1951 U.S. Open golf championship, the 1941 Joe Louis-Billy Conn heavyweight title fight, and the 1976 Philadelphia Flyers-Soviet Red Army hockey game. His work also appears in national magazines.
