/in /by Jacob PomrenkeMike Vranesevic is a retired professional educator with 35 years of experience in both instructional and leadership positions in three western Pennsylvania public school districts. He also had served as an adjunct instructor for 17 years in the Duquesne University graduate school of education teaching research, academic writing, and K-12 writing methods courses. As an avid, life-long Pittsburgh sports fan, his early interest in baseball reporting was inspired and nurtured by Al Abrams and Charlie Feeney, two Pirates beat writers in the 1960s and ’70s whose writing styles were mirrored by Mike when he became the sports editor of Signals, Rio Grande University’s student publication.
