Paul Browne
/in /by Jason BestPaul Browne is the author of The Coal Barons Played Cuban Giants: A History of Early Professional Baseball in Pennsylvania, 1886 – 1896, published by McFarland & Company, Inc. His article on the Cuban Giants first victory over a major league team appears in Inventing Baseball: The 100 Greatest Games of the Nineteenth Century. His Mundell’s Solar Tips appears in the 2013 National Pastime. Browne has been a member of SABR since the mid-1990s and has had several player biographies posted at the SABR BioProject site. He has also contributed articles to McFarland’s Journal Black Ball, SABR’s Nineteenth Century and Minor Leagues committees, as well as local newspapers. Browne is executive director of the Carbondale Technology Transfer Center.
