Paul Zingg

Paul Zingg came to the Red Sox through Harry Hooper and a lifelong loathing of the Yankees. He even forgives Harry and his teammates for defeating his beloved National League Giants in the 1912 World Series. His baseball books include a biography of Hooper (Harry Hooper: An American Baseball Life) and a history of the old Pacific Coast League (Runs, Hits, and an Era: The Pacific Coast League, 1903-1958). He is the president of California State University, Chico, home of a perennial participant in the NCAA Division-II World Series.
