Connecticut Smoky Joe Wood Chapter meeting recap – 2/18/2017
The Connecticut Smoky Joe Wood Chapter had a lively chapter breakfast on February 18, 2017, at the Hamden Townhouse with about 16 people attending. It was suggested that for future purposes, we convene for these breakfasts at the Quinnipiac University cafeteria, near where our general meetings are. This way, we don’t need a reservation, and we can see each other and mingle more. Coach Gooley suggested this, and it seems to be a good idea.
Also, we are planning another group trip to Yankee Stadium, and we recommend going on Sunday, June 25, which is Old Timers Day. The regular game features the Yanks and Rangers, starting at 2 PM. Please let us know if you would like to attend, and family and friends are welcome, like last year. We will negotiate for a group discount as well.
We will keep you posted for our general meeting at QU on Saturday, March 25, usual time and place. More details to come.
