Field of Dreams Chapter meeting recap – 8/10/2019
Fourteen Field of Dreams Chapter members and guests gathered in Waterloo on Saturday, August 10, 2019, for a Northwoods League game between the Waterloo Bucks and Eau Claire Express.
The night featured a lot of hits, and a few errors as the Express used a five-run rally in the 8th to secure a 11-6 victory over the hosts. With the win, the Express clinched the Second Half Great Lakes East Sub-Division title (that’s a mouthful) and as I write this, the Express are playing the first-half champ Bucks in the first game of the playoffs.
The loud PA and music in Waterloo mad conversation a bit difficult, but we still had a fine evening of baseball conversation in the stands. Special thanks to Paul Spyhalski for coming down from Austin, Minnesota to join the fun.
