Goose Goslin Chapter meeting recap – 9/28/2019
SABR’s Goose Goslin Chapter had a meeting on Saturday, September 28, 2019, at the Cherry Hill Public Library.
Our guest speaker was Dr. Bruce Kuklick, who authored the book, To Every Thing A Season: Shibe Park and Urban Philadelphia 1909-1976. He spoke to us about The history of Shibe park and he shared copies of a letter he found during his research from Amos Strunk (Former Philadelphia Athletics player) in response to an invitation from the Phillies to the final game played at Connie Mack Park in 1970. Members shared their memories of Connie Mack Park, as well.
