Rasco is a native of DeWitt and was a very talented multisport athlete for the Dragons. He came to Conway to attend Hendrix, where he lettered in basketball and track and graduated in 1963. Rasco was inducted into the Hendrix College Sports Hall of Honor in 2006.

Earlier this month, he was inducted into the Arkansas Sports Hall of Fame. He was a fine athlete, but he was mostly inducted for his lifetime as a sports historian.
