2023 SABR Analytics Conference

MARCH 1, 2023 — The SABR Analytics Conference is coming up soon!

On March 10-12, 2023, at the Beus Center for Law and Society, 111 E. Taylor Street, on Arizona State University’s Downtown Phoenix Campus in Arizona, the Society for American Baseball Research will bring together the top minds in the baseball analytics community to discuss, debate and share insightful ways to analyze and examine the great game of baseball. Registration is available to all baseball fans now at SABR.org/analytics.

The full schedule for the 2023 SABR Analytics Conference is now available online at SABR.org/analytics/schedule. General sessions will be held in person on Friday, March 10 through Sunday, March 12 at the Beus Center for Law and Society in downtown Phoenix.

The schedule will consist of a combination of Guest Speakers, Panels, and cutting-edge Research Presentations — plus the unique Diamond Dollars Case Competition, in which undergraduate, graduate, and law school students from across the country analyze and present a real baseball operations decision.

Our featured panels at the 2023 SABR Analytics Conference are expected to include:

  • Biomechanics Panel, with Colin Cahill of the San Francisco Giants; Roger Caplinger of the Milwaukee Brewers; and Ethan Stewart of the Oakland Athletics (1:10 p.m., Friday, March 10)
  • 2023 Rule Changes Panel, with former major-leaguers Dallas Braden of NBC Bay Area and Bobby Scales of Sports Info Solutions; Kyle Glaser of Baseball America; and Rob Mains of Baseball Prospectus (3:20 p.m., Friday, March 10)
