On Wednesday, May 21, 2025, SABR brought together a group of experts for a special webinar to discuss Commissioner Rob Manfred’s recent decision to remove Pete Rose, Shoeless Joe Jackson and the Black Sox, and others from baseball’s permanently ineligible list. The discussion also focused on sports gambling and the players’ newfound eligibility for election to the National Baseball Hall of Fame.
