SABR 52: The Diamond King film screening with Dick Perez
JUNE 12, 2024 — We hope you’ll join us for SABR’s 52nd annual convention this summer in Minneapolis, Minnesota! Today, we’re excited to announce a special film screening of The Diamond King, a new biopic on legendary baseball artist Dick Perez, from 3:00-5:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 10 at the Hyatt Regency Minneapolis. A Q&A will follow with Perez and award-winning director Marq Evans.
Perez, honored as the 2024 SABR Jefferson Burdick Award winner, is known for his Donruss Diamond King illustrations and Perez-Steele Hall of Fame postcards.
The film screening will be co-hosted by the SABR Baseball Cards Committee, Baseball and the Arts Committee, and Latino Baseball Committee. Visit thediamondkingmovie.com to watch a trailer or learn more.
