SABR founding member Bob McConnell to be inducted into Delaware Baseball Hall of Fame

St. Mark’s High coach Matt Smith and former major-league pitcher Ian Snell, a Caesar Rodney High graduate, are among this year’s inductees to the Delaware Baseball Hall of Fame.

They are joined by Heath Chasanov, who was a standout player at Woodbridge High and the University of Delaware; longtime Delaware Semi-Pro League standout Jack McDonough, a Mount Pleasant High and Towson University graduate; Mike Donovan, who starred at Saint Mark’s, Wilmington University and in the Delaware Semi-Pro League; and the late Bob McConnell, a founding member of the Society for American Baseball Research (SABR).

They will be inducted on June 25 at Frawley Stadium prior to the Wilmington Blue Rocks’ Carolina League game against the Lynchburg Hillcats.
