SABR Hires Jacob Pomrenke as Web Content Editor/Producer

Jacob Pomrenke will oversee the daily editorial operation for the new SABR.org website.

I am pleased to announce that SABR member Jacob Pomrenke has been hired as SABR’s Web Content Editor/Producer. Jacob will start on Feb. 1 and will be based in Phoenix once the office opens. Jacob has been a SABR member since 1998 and is the Chairman and Newsletter editor for SABR’s Black Sox Scandal Research Committee. He moderated a panel discussion on Shoeless Joe Jackson at last year’s SABR National Convention, recently appeared on the MLB Network special on the Black Sox Scandal, and is a member of the Baseball Records, Deadball Era and Bio Project committees. Jacob comes to SABR from the North County Times in Escondido, California.

Jacob has strong editorial and production skills and experience as an editor, writer, and page designer. He is well versed in historical and current knowledge of baseball and has a passion for the game. Jacob’s role will be instrumental in implementing SABR’s new editorial plan and strategic vision.

As the Web Content Editor/Producer, Jacob will oversee the daily editorial operation for the new SABR.org site, will work closely with SABR members, and will direct the new SABR online community. Jacob will be a key member of the SABR team when it comes to developing and executing partnership opportunities within the baseball community and creating initiatives to build the SABR membership base.
