SABR Live Oral History Interview: Mike Hargrove
Baseball fans, join us for a special virtual event at 8:00 p.m. Eastern on Thursday, March 14, 2024: a live SABR Oral History interview with former All-Star first baseman and pennant-winning manager Mike Hargrove.
All fans are invited to attend this interview session on Zoom, which will be conducted by Oral History Committee chair John McMurray. The interview will be recorded and added to SABR’s Oral History Collection archive afterward.
Hargrove managed for 16 seasons with the Cleveland Indians, Baltimore Orioles, and Seattle Mariners, winning two American League pennants in 1995 and 1997. As a player, he won AL Rookie of the Year honors in 1974 with the Texas Rangers and recorded 1,614 hits over 12 seasons with Texas, Cleveland, and the San Diego Padres.
