SABR Member Art Schott named 2007 recipient of the Distinguished Service Award in Louisiana Sports Journalism

It was announced recently that SABR member and New Orleans sports historian Arthur Schott was one of the 2007 recipients of the Distinguished Service Award in Sports Journalism presented by the Louisiana Sports Writers Association.

He was honored Saturday night, June 23, in Natchitoches at the 2007 Louisiana Sports Hall of Fame Induction Dinner and Ceremonies in the Natchitoches Events Center.

Schott was born in New Orleans in 1918 and attended Jesuit High and Loyola
