SABR Member Benefit Spotlight: Getting Started at SABR.org
JUNE 19, 2024 — As a SABR member, you have vast resources and benefits at your disposal. With so much information at your fingertips, we realize it can be overwhelming to absorb it all! To highlight key benefits, read on for a SABR Member Benefit Spotlight, an email series that identifies and explains some of the most valuable features of your membership. We hope this allows you to take full advantage of all SABR has to offer.
Whether you’re a new member or a veteran of SABR, these tips will help you begin navigating our website at SABR.org.
NAVIGATING SABR.ORG
Our website at SABR.org is a wealth of information, whether you’re doing baseball research, looking for ways to get involved with the organization, or studying up on your analytics skills with our certification courses. We want to be sure you know how to utilize the website to its fullest extent. Keep reading for some helpful tips to get you started at SABR.org.
If you’re a SABR member, you have an online profile you can log into. Logging in to your profile gives you access to our directory and members-only resources, applies available member discounts at checkout, and allows you to send messages and connect with other SABR members. You should have created your login credentials when you registered for your membership, but if you need help locating those, please contact a SABR staff member for assistance. To log into your profile:
- Start on SABR.org. Click on the Member Login link at the top right of the homepage.
- You’ll now be taken to the Members’ Hub Page. Click on the blue Learn More button underneath the Members’ Home icon on the left.
- You’ll now see a Member Login screen. Enter your username and password in the corresponding boxes and click sign in.
- You should now be on the Members’ Home page. This means you have successfully signed into your SABR profile.
The Members’ Home page is a great place to start if you’re looking for how to navigate SABR.org. You’ll find links to manage your membership, access research resources, get connected within the organization, and view organizational files. There’s also a link to the SABR Membership Handbook, which holds a lot of answers to some of our most frequently asked questions and provides a general overview of the organization. We recommend beginning on the Members’ Home page if you’re just starting out on SABR.org.
New SABR Member Experience Meeting
Each month, members of the SABR office staff host a virtual welcome gathering on Zoom. While we call it a New SABR Member Experience Meeting, we do invite all members to join us. These Zoom meetings are about an hour long, beginning at 8:00 p.m. Eastern. You can find the upcoming schedule and the Zoom registration link for the next meeting on the Events Calendar. We will answer your questions and offer tips and suggestions on how to make the most out of your SABR membership. This includes features of your profile, like the directory, how to join groups, and the payments and invoices tab. We also show you how to access our research collection and research resources that are available to members only, as well as our events calendar and our analytics courses. You can also view previous recordings of this meeting here.
Member Benefit Spotlight Videos
Once a month, we send you an email with a video covering one benefit of your SABR membership. These videos are also available at SABR.org in case you want to reference them later. You can find them on the SABR Member Benefit Spotlight Series page under the Community tab. These videos are also available on our YouTube channel.
