SABR Member Benefit Spotlight: Gift Memberships
DECEMBER 6, 2022 — As a SABR member, you have vast resources and benefits at your disposal. With so much information at your fingertips, we realize it can be overwhelming to absorb it all! To highlight key benefits, read on for this month’s SABR Member Benefit Spotlight, an email series that identifies and explains some of the most valuable features of your membership. GIFT MEMBERSHIPS
With the holidays fast approaching, what could be better than sharing the gift of baseball? If you have someone in your life who is as passionate about the game as we are, consider giving them a SABR Gift Membership this season. Below, you’ll find some frequently asked questions about signing up a friend or family member with their very own SABR membership.
- How do I register a membership for someone else?
- If you are a current SABR member, you must first sign out of your account before purchasing a new membership. Then, click here to purchase and enter all the required information for the recipient of the membership. Information you will need includes recipient name, email, mailing address, phone number, and birthdate. You will also be asked to choose a local chapter for the recipient, so simply select the option closest to them geographically (they can change this or join additional SABR chapters and groups at any time). Utilize your own preferred method of payment.
- Reminder: If a valid email address is inputted for the gift recipient, they will receive an automatic confirmation notice via email. If you do not want the recipient to know about this gift in advance, please contact the SABR staff before purchasing and we can help!

- What if I want this gift membership to be a surprise?
- If you do not want the recipient to be notified automatically, simply contact our staff and we will assist you with the purchase. You can also submit a confidential form with your recipient’s information, and we will follow up with you. It’s an easy process and we’re here to help.
- Will I get any sort of physical memento to present to the recipient?
- We are happy to send a “Welcome to SABR” letter to any purchaser who would like something to present to a recipient. Email us after your purchase and include the name of the recipient and we will email you a PDF letter that you can deliver.
