Later this year, plans to add the Pete Palmer-Gary Gillette historical statistical database, which has powered recent editions of The ESPN Baseball Encyclopedia and is being sub-licensed through SABR. When completed, this will make the most accurate online source of historical major league data, another focus of SABR’s mission.

Work on improving the SABR Minors Leagues database is continuing as one of SABR’s biggest volunteer efforts. Volunteers are needed to compile, cross-check, verify, and fill in the gaps in statistics.
