Seymour Conference 2004 – Friday Night

SABR members from as far away as Toronto, Baltimore and Wisconsin came together at the Western Reserve Historical Society to kick off the Sixth Annual Seymour Conference. 

The presentation of the Seymour Medal to Peter Morris for his book, Baseball Fever: Early Baseball in Michigan was the focus of Friday night’s festivities.

The medal ceremony was preceded by an author’s meet-and-greet which included light Hors d’Oeuvres and beverages.  Later, registrants convened in the main conference area to hear the feature

The medal ceremony was preceded by an author’s meet-and-greet which included light Hors d’Oeuvres and beverages.  Later, registrants convened in the main conference area to hear the featured speakers of the evening which included Dorothy Jane Mills, WRHS Sports Archivist Scott Longert, Former Executive Director Morris Eckhouse and Peter Morris.
