Stark: Strange but true facts for the 2017 baseball season

Once again this year, the awesome sport of baseball was stranger than “Twin Peaks,” stranger than those Defense Department UFO videos, stranger even than Squirrel Appreciation Day.
And while I’m not compiling my usual 750,00-word Strange But True opus this year, I did come up with a list of some of my favorite Strange But True developments of 2017, thanks to my friends at MLB Network, who gave me my very own segment on their Oddities of the Year Countdown.
