Take a Trip Back in Time to See Early Baseball Research Journal Articles

SABR is pleased to make available online many of the earliest issues of The Baseball Research Journal. Posted at brj.sabrwebs.com, anyone can now read articles written by the first SABR members.

In the premiere issue of Baseball Research Journal in 1972, “Babe’s First Box Score” was published. In the 1973 issue of Baseball Research Journal, Arthur O. Schott contributed “First Game at Yankee Stadium.” In 1974, there was “Best Foreign Born Players” which gave the results of a membership survey.

In 1975, SABR published a survey of best players by state.
