The Baseball Index Surpasses 200,000 Citations

Cleveland, Ohio – SABR Bibliography Committee’s online card catalogue of baseball research materials, known as The Baseball Index (TBI), has surpassed 200,000 citations.

Ted Hathaway (TBI project co-director) and I remain grateful to all those who have helped with the research and the financing of this project,” said Andy McCue, also a TBI project co-director, in a recent announcement. 

McCue also thanked SABR member Brad Sullivan, who provided the last 2,500 entries that put them over the top. In addition, he also thanked SABR members Steve Milman, Bruce Roth, Joel Dinda, Joe Murphy and Maxwell Kates for other recent contributions.

Started in 1990, The Baseball Index project is the product of dozens of volunteers, organized through SABR’s Bibliography Committee and is part of SABR’s commitment to advance and support baseball research.
