It is time for the MLB postseason, so this week’s edition of “Sportfolio” takes a look at baseball around the baseball diamond with a host of guests discussing the business of baseball on Bloomberg TV.
This week’s lineup includes a special sit-down with Cy Young Award candidate R.A. Dickey of the New York Mets to discuss the knuckleballer’s ride to MLB success, while SABR President Vince Gennaro looks at the most efficiently assembled playoff teams, and Scott Soshnick of Bloomberg News elaborates on his story last week exploring the “special terms” in MLB’s bankruptcy settlement with Frank McCourt that may exempt the Dodgers’ new ownership from significant revenue-sharing in their new TV deal. Also, AEG Worldwide CEO Tim Leiweke tells host Rick Horrow what the L.A. City Council’s unanimous endorsement of the Farmers Field project means for the future of the NFL in Los Angeles.
The show debuts Wednesday night, October 3 at 9:30 PM and 12:30 AM ET Thursday on Bloomberg TV (DirecTV 353 or check your local cable systems for the channel near you). A sneak preview can be seen here or below:
