A color slide of a photograph from the July 1949 edition of Sport Magazine of Joe Gordon. The photograph on page 17 accompanies the article "Joe Gordon The Acrobatic Flash" by Ed Fitzgerald. Gordon is visible from the thighs up as he swings a baseball bat he holds in his left hand behind him. As he swings, he twists his upper body to his left toward the camera and looks upward. He is wearing a Cleveland Indians home uniform. The caption underneath the photograph reads, "A power hitter throughout his career, Gordon rose to the heights for Cleveland in '48, batting in 124 runs and belting 32 homers." and "Exclusive Kodachrome portrait for SPORT by Ozzie Sweet"
