The back of card number 243 in the set reads, "John Antonelli Pitcher - Boston Braves Born: Rochester, N.Y., April 12, 1930 Height: 6 ft. Weight: 180 Bats: Left Throws: Left Johnny won such fame as a high school pitcher that 9 big league scouts came to see him pitch a game. He rose to the occasion by huring a no-hitter, and fanning 17 batters. Pitched 2 other high school no-hitters and 5 one-hitters. Joined the Braves late in 1948. Record was 3-7 in 1949 and 2-3 in 1950. Needs only a little more experience to be a great pitcher. In the service, 1951. No. 243 in the 1951 series Baseball Picture Cards Reprint 1986 C.C.C."
