The back of card number 302 in the set reads, "Jim Busby Outfield - Chicago White Sox Born: Kenedy, Texas, Jan. 8, 1927 Height: 6-1 Weight: 175 Bats: Right Throws: Right Hitting .359 about a month after the opening of the 1951 season. Up among the League's leading hitters. Hit .310 for Sacramento in 1950. In 110 games. Had a fielding average of .993, second best in the Pacific Coast League. Attended Texas Christian University for 2 years. Entered on a football scholarship. Jim's first year in organized baseball was 1948 with Muskegon and Waterloo.
