The back of card number 225 in the set reads, "Dan Bankhead Pitcher - Brooklyn Dodgers Born: Empire, Alabama, May 3, 1921 Height: 6-1 Weight: 185 Bats: Right Throws: Right Won 9, lost 4, in 1950, second year with Dodgers. Joined them for the first time in 1947. Involved in no wins or losses, but hit a home run first time at bat in Ebbets Field. Won 20 games for Nashua in 1948. One was a no-hitter. Joined St. Paul in closing days of the season, and chalked up 4 more wins. With Montreal in 1949. Won 20. Led the INternational League in strikeouts with 176.
