Description
A trading card from the 1989 Kodak Chicago White Sox set. Card number 4 in the set shows Harold Baines, Minnie Minoso, and Jim Landis. The top photograph shows a full-length image of Baines in a batting position. He is standing in the left-handed batter's box on his back (left) leg with his front (right) leg in the air. His body faces the camera, but he looks over his front shoulder toward the pitcher. He is wearing a White Sox uniform worn between 1987 and 1989. In the bottom left is a photograph of Minoso visible from the chest up. He is wearing a White Sox uniform and is looking to his left with a smile. He is holding a baseball bat over his back (right) shoulder. Underneath the photograph, the caption reads, "Minnie Minoso's name is well known among Sox fans. During his 12 seasons with the South Siders he led the team in both batting and runs batted in 4 times, and home runs twice. The six-time all-star also led the American League in stolen bases from 1951 to 1953". In the bottom right is a photograph of Landis, visible from the chest up, and is wearing a White Sox home uniform. He is looking up to his right past the camera. The caption underneath the photograph reads, "Jim Landis made his mark with the Sox as a slick fielding outfielder during the glory years of the late 1950's and early 1960's. He earned the Gold Glove for fielding excellence from 1960 to 1964. Offensively, his best year was 1961 when he belted 22 home runs and batted .283." On the left side of the card is a Kodak logo, a photograph of two film packages, and a logo for OscoDrug.
