The back of card number 234 in the set reads, "Clint Hartung Pitcher, Outfielder - New York Giants Born: Hondo, Texas, August 10, 1922 Height: 6-4 1/2 Weight: 200 Bats: Right Throws: Right Pitched in 20 games in 1950, with a record of 3 and 3. A good hitter, capable of slugging out a long ball. Began with Minneapolis and Eau Claire in 1942 as a combination pitcher and first baseman. Spent the next 4 seasons in military service. Back in baseball in 1947 with the Giants. Played 34 games in the outfield, hitting .309. Also pitched, and had a 9-7 record. Pitched in 1948 and 1949.
