A 1978 1948 Bowman reprint baseball card of Spec Shea. The back of card number 26 in the set reads, "26 - Frank Shea Pitcher - New York Yankees Born : Naugatuck, Conn. Oct. 2, 1922 Bats : Right Throws : Right Height : 6 : 01 Weight : 197 1947 was his first year in major league baseball and he led the American League with the top pitching percentage (14 wins and 5 losses) of .737. Beginning his career with Amsterdam in the Canadian-American League, he went to Norfolk in the Piedmont League and spent the season before his war service with Kansas City.
