The back of card number 265 in the set reads, "Steve Bilko First Base - St. Louis Cardinals Born: Nanticoke, Pa., Nov. 13, 1928 Height: 6-2 Weight: 237 Bats: Right Throws: Right Spotted and signed by Cards while playing for an independent team in Nanticoke. Has spent 5 years in the minors. Hit 4 home runs in 1 day in the International League in 1949. Wound up the season with 34 round trippers. Also paced the circuit in runs batted in. Had a trial with Cards in spring of 1950, but was returned to Rochester. Began 1951 with Cards. To Columbus, May 16. No. 265 in the 1951 series Baseball Picture Cards Reprint 1986 C.C.C."
