The back of card number 120 in the set reads, "Joe Coleman Pitcher - Philadelphia Athletics Born: Medford, Mass., July 30, 1922 Height: 6-2 Weight: 193 Bats: Right Throws: Right Joe ran into tough pitching luck in 1950. The righthander from Massachusetts was in 15 games, losing 5, and not winning any. In 1949 his record was 13-14. In 1948 it was 14-13. Joe entered baseball in 1941. He joined the Athletics at the end of the 1942 season. Spent the next 3 years in the service. Played for Toronto in 1946, but rejoined the Philadelphia club at end of the season.
