Mickey Mantle in Rundown in 1951 Exhibition Game Against San Francisco Seals

Description

A slide of a black-and-white, full-length photograph of Mickey Mantle, seen in a rundown behind first and second in a 1951 exhibition game between the New York Yankees and the San Francisco Seals at Seals Stadium. The photograph is from the perspective of the right field stands. Mantle is heading back to first base between Seals second baseman Al Jacinto, who has his right arm raised to throw the ball, and first baseman Fenton Mole, who is at the far left of the picture in a profile view. Mantle is wearing a 1951 New York Yankee road uniform. Jacinto is in a frontal view in a uniform with the word "SEALS" on the left side of his chest. Mole's uniform number (5) is visible on the back of his uniform. At the far right of the photograph in profile facing the play is umpire Charlie Berry. In the background on the left side of the picture are the stands on the third base side, and between Jacinto and Berry is the short wall at the front of "Paul's Porch" with the left field foul pole and the distance "347 FT." clearly visible. Also visible is the back wall with the foul line on it and the distance "365 FT." on it. Information written on the physical slide reads "at exhibition game 1952"
